First Christian Church will host a concert of sacred music for Easter on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 2:00 PM. The concert will feature soprano Laura Duvall- Whitson, alto Judith Weaver, tenor Stephen roger Kitts the second, and accompanist Michael Bowen in a program ranging from classical to contemporary Christian music. First Christian Church is located at 854 North 300 West, the corner of Malfalfa and Sycamore (St. Rd. 22). This concert is free to the public; a free will offering will be collected to benefit Howard County’s first responders. A light reception will follow the concert in the church fellowship hall.

This is the fourth year First Christian has hosted a concert for Easter, on the day before Palm Sunday and beginning Holy Week. The program will feature music from such classical pieces as Messiah, traditional hymns such as The Old Rugged Cross and In the Garden, and popular pieces such as His Eye Is on the Sparrow.
