Coming up in Kokomo for 2014

An appropriation for 3.4 million dollars has been approved by Kokomo Common Council to fund a variety of projects for the City of Kokomo in 2014. Almost half of the allocated funds will go to spiffing up cultural developments and matching grants by the Arts Commission. Money will also be allocated to the parking garage in downtown Kokomo.

Where’s the propane?

A propane shortage has prompted Governor Pence to declare an energy emergency Wednesday. Along with declaring the energy emergency, Pence eased transport rules for drivers of propane delivery trucks and added 5 million to a state fund that helps homeowners pay energy bills. The price of propane has doubled during January’s frigid temps.
