Village Pantry robberies
An already-convicted felon is back behind bars after allegedly robbing two Village Pantries. Vernon Smith was arrested at his home Thursday and charged with two Class-C felonies. Smith has told Kokomo Police he’s innocent, but hasn’t provided an alibi. Smith could face up to 10 years in prison, if convicted.

Sara Evans gets soulful
Sara Evans is putting soul into her newest album, “Slow Me Down”. The country starlet said it’s an album that has the heart she knows her fans will love and some unexpected contributors. The Fray’s Issac Slade and Gavin Degraw are set to sing on two of the album’s songs. She’s also invited her pal, Vince Gill, back to the studio with her. “Slow Me Down” is available March. 11. Evans will take the stage at Honeywell Center Feb. 7. Look for Kevin and Lindsay in the Morning, as they emcee the Friday-night show.
