CAM 11th Run for Shelter

CAM, Inc., under the direction of Dana Neer, will be having the 11th Annual Run for Shelter for the first time in Foster Park.

At 6:45 a.m., registration begins for 5K Runners and Walkers to sign in for this Points Race, beginning in Foster Park and running/walking on the Heritage Trail.

At 7:30 a.m., registration begins for “casual walkers” in groups, singly, or by families, to sign in to walk the “Fun Mile” around Foster Park.

Step off is at 8 a.m. for both groups.  5K Runner/Walkers in age categories can earn medals.  Fun Mile Walker Groups or individuals, who raise the most money for the homeless, will take home the Opalescent Glass Traveling Trophy.

There will be bananas, grapes, donated water drinks from Coca Cola, donated waters from Texas Roadhouse with free appetizer sticker on each bottle, and homemade cookies by the women of St. Joan and St. Patrick Catholic Churches.

We are honored to have three Major Sponsors – Community Howard Hospital, St. Vincent Kokomo Hospital, and Ameriprise Financial.

We are seeking Walkers and Runners to register by August 12th for a t-shirt.  We are also seeking businesses to sponsor for $100.  All proceeds go to CAM – Coordinated Assistance Ministries, Inc. who have serves the homeless and near homeless in our community since May 1993.
RaceMaker Productions, LLC, will be the official Timers this year.  And, much thanks to Kokomo Roadrunners for their support in making this Run/Walk possible.
