Peru Schools new superintendent
Peru Schools have named Sam Watkins as their new superintendent. Watkins will begin his role as superintendent Aug. 25. The former superintendent was Charles Brimbury.
Winding Creek Bluegrass Festival
Winding Creek Bluegrass Festival brings banjos and the best of bluegrass to Russiaville Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The annual shindig features Marty Raybon of Shenandoah, Clay Hess Band, Flatt Lonesome and more. The fiddles get to playing Friday at 2 p.m. until 11 p.m. General admission varies for each day.
