Kokomo’s Board of Public Works and Safety has approved the city to buy flood-prone areas just south of downtown. The two purchases of parcels at Union Street will help with flood mitigation, another property was donated to the City of Kokomo Wednesday –also to assist with flood mitigation.
Howard and Hamilton counties have downgraded to travel advisories (Howard County officially downgraded Friday at midnight), but Miami and Tipton counties are still under a travel watch –as of Friday morning.
