People today pop prescription drugs like they’re candy, but they’re not.
A pharmacy in Quebec City, Canada somehow managed to accidentally hand out bipolar medication to trick-or-treaters on Halloween.
Apparently a customer dropped some of the pills, and since they’re individually wrapped, someone mistook them for candy and put them in a bowl on the counter. As kids came by and took candy, at least seven of them got the medication instead.
The pharmacists and police say the pills aren’t dangerous — even though they have potential side effects like suicidal thoughts and sudden cardiac arrest. It doesn’t look like the pharmacy will be in any legal trouble.
That’s not the only sketchy trick-or-treating report from Halloween. In Kennett Square, Pennsylvania and Brainerd, Minnesota there were reports of NEEDLES in candy. In North Reading, Massachusetts, kids got samples of COUGH SYRUP instead of candy.
In Reynoldsburg, Ohio, a kid found a razor blade in a Snickers bar. The police are investigating in all four cities. The police are investigating in all three cities.
