Colts playoff ticket sales gets an extension
Update: Colts have received a second one-day extension from NFL. According to colts.com, less than 3,500 tickets still need to be sold to prevent a local TV blackout. The new deadline is Friday at 4:35 pm.
Earlier story: Nearly 4,500 tickets are still available for Saturday’s Wild Card playoff game (Indianapolis Colts vs. Kansas City Chiefs). Early Thursday morning, the number of remaining tickets totaled to 5,500. If the tickets don’t sell out by today’s 4:30 p.m. deadline, the playoff game will be blacked out on local TV. The NFL first gave the Colts a one-day extension, due to ticket sales following on New Year’s day. According to Colts official website, tickets start at $56. Tickets are available at www.ticketmaster.com or (800) 745-3000.
Winter Weather strikes Indiana
A winter weather advisory that continues until 7 p.m. Thursday for most of Indiana, will bring along treacherous road conditions.
Greg Goodnight, City of Kokomo mayor, spoke of the plow crews' roles in the snowstorm on Kevin and Lindsay in the Morning early Thursday morning.
“We started with 12 trucks overnight and have increased our trucks to 26 this morning,” Goodnight said. “[Our immediate goals] are to focus on the main arteries first to allow for emergency transportation and move out to neighborhoods and cul-de-sacs. It can take up to 12 hours to get all of those areas cleared.”
Goodnight added trash pickup will continue Thursday, but expect delays. For more information on travel conditions, visit www.trafficwise.in.gov.
INDOT crews responsible for roadways at U.S. 31 and U.S. 931 said, during Male Call, plow trucks run a 2-hour route throughout their shifts, but the heavy amounts of snow have made it difficult for plows’ work to be seen.
Fatal crash in Tipton County
A 19-year-old has died following a car crash in Tipton County late Wednesday night. According to police reports, police responded to a crash at a field east of State Road 19. When police arrived, a 14-year-old passenger was standing near the road and 19-year-old William Lamoreaux was laying unresponsive in the field. Lamoreaux was pronounced dead at the scene.
Tipton County police said Lamoreux lost control of his car, likely due to poor weather conditions, and began flipping after striking a ditch. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
