15th Annual Indianapolis Rib America Festival (Food)

The 15th annual Rib America Festival returns to downtown Indianapolis - September 3-6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. daily. The event is held at Military Park at the crossing of New York and West Streets. The Rib America Festival is a fun filled event featuring award winning barbeque, music, and more! 2010 sponsors for the event include Budweiser, Coca-Cola, IUPUI, Bright House Networks, KeyBank, Hoosier Park Racing & Casino, Modern Trailer Sales and Hilton Garden Inn Indianapolis. The best award winning BBQ teams from across the country will be serving up their finest all weekend long!!!
Opening Loving Hands Adult Day Care for the Elderly (Business)
Time: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Location: 614 E. Poplar St.
Loving Hands Adult Day Care, Inc. will open it doors on June 7th for working families that have elderly loved ones that have physical and/or mental impairments and cannot be left alone. Also available for the round-the-clock caregiver who needs respite. We will open 5-days per week. Family member can be dropped off to us and picked up at the end of the work day thus keeping the family structure together. We are a less expensive alternative to nursing home or private care. 10th Anniversary (Church)

Location: Good Shepherd Lutheran Church
Shepherd's Lambs Early Childhood Minsitry is being recognized at the 10:15 worship service for 10 years of service to children of the Kokomo area. There will be a pot luck dinner following and all alumni of Shepherd's Lambs Preschool and daycare are invited to attend.
AKC Responsible Dog Owners Day (Pets)
Time: 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM
Location: Mehlig Dog Park
On Sept.13 at 6:30 PM The Kokomo Kennel Club in conjunction with the AKC would like to present Meet the Breeds. Members of the KKC will bring their personal show dogs for the public to meet and learn more about each breed and responsible dog ownership. Lots of FREE information will also be available.
